For Austin’s Sun June, 2021 is set to be an exciting year. With their sophomore full-length slated for release in February, the five-piece has much to look forward to in the coming months. However, as 2020 comes to a close, the group decided to look back on their year, its ups and downs, and the music they played along the way. Below is a playlist of “Great Bakes” or favorites that helped the band navigate these last twelve months and the uncertainty this year inevitably brought. Check out the mix below:

We thought we’d reflect on some(just some!) of our favorite songs from this terribly dumb year – with a focus on non-binary, trans, and female-identifying singers and artists. There is SO MUCH good music out there that listening always leaves us a mix of inspired, excited, and extremely jealous. We wanted to gather this stuff for our own sake too since 2020 has warped time and space and some songs have gotten lost in the shuffle. It was so easy to put together hours of great music, much of it out of Austin, TX!
